Payunia y Mendoza en Argentina
La segunda mitad de nuestro viaje en Argentina empieza cuando nos vamos de Junín de los Andes a Payunia y Mendoza. Nos quedamos en un rancho aislado con un paisaje marciano. Hicimos un tour al parque nacional, hicimos rafting y un paseo en bicicleta con cata de vinos. ¿Qué podría salir mal? Seguí estando molesta porque la gente no llegaba a tiempo, pero también me pude relajar un poco más y disfrutar de los maravillosos paisajes. Argentina’s Payunia and Mendoza
The second half of our Argentina trip picks up with us leaving Junin de los Andes going to Payunia and Mendoza. We stayed at an isolated ranch in a Mars-like landscape. We took a tour of a national park, did some white water rafting, and a bike ride paired with wine tasting. What could go wrong? I continued to be irritated by people not being on time, but I was also able to relax a bit more and enjoy the wonderful scenery. El Distrito Lago en Argentina
Para mi, Argentina se clasifica como una de las vacaciones más insatisfactorias, difíciles, y visualmente hermosas que alguna vez he tenido. Fue una serie de errores, retrasos, y malentendidos. También fue increíblemente hermosa con contrastes marcados, enormes lagos,humedad opresiva, altas cadenas montañosas cubiertas de nieve, una población muy joven, alto desempleo, y mucha basura en las calles. En retrospectiva, suelto una risita de todos los problemas que encontramos.
Argentina’s Lake District
Argentina ranks as one of the most dissatisfying, difficult, and visually beautiful vacations I’ve ever had. It was a series of mistakes, delays, and misunderstandings. It was also stunningly beautiful with stark contrasts: high, snow capped mountain ranges, massive lakes, oppressive humidity, a very young population, high unemployment, and a lot of trash on the street. Looking back, I chuckle at all the problems we encountered.

Cuba Libre! Two weeks of bicycle touring in Cuba
In 2010, we took our bikes, panniers, and clothes and rode between hotels on the west side of Cuba, from Varadero to Viñales. During our two weeks of cycling and sightseeing, we experienced an historic cold snap, difficulty finding food, fun excursions into the mountains and caves, and challenging cycling terrain. We met wonderful, friendly, and generous Cubans.
